Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE IMAGE NAPOLEON Wonderful antique color print of Napoleon Bonaparte in military regalia - it is housed in an American 19thc. frame covered in peacock blue flocked velvet. Image is housed in a brass oval inset underneath a piece of clear celluloid which replaced the original glass at some point in the life of the frame - back is complete with a tiny bracket hanger, but missing the original wire stand. Condition of the image is very nice - I'm assuming this is an early print - detail is wonderful - frame fabric is worn with rubbing and loss shown - does not detract. The image and frame together make a lovely statement. Recently acquired from the estate of an avid Napoleon Bonaparte collector. Wonderful addition to any home, collection or display!
