Description: Fantastic High end Estate sale find. I had this machine tested and it appears to be Shadudo a copper Gold/Silver alloy. The jewler made an offer about what I'm asking but would not disclose the percentage of metals (which I thought to be a tad shady...) I think it is late 1880's or there about. Spectacular workmanship. NO damager issues whatsoever. Some light scuffs and use scratches and a wonderful scene depicting Mt. Fuji and a Phoenix which has great symbolic meaning in the culture.Signed and weighing just over 63g. This piece oozes quality and the damascene workmanship and engraving is amazing,19th C Meji. I WILL NOT ACCEPT A RETURN ON THIS IF YOU WHEEL CUT SCRATCH OR OTHERWISE DEFACE OR DAMAGE THIS BECAUSE YOU ARE IN THE SCRAP BUSINESS. I HAVE DOCUMENTED PICTURES AND ANY DEVIATION OF WHAT YOU WERE SENT WILL BE COMPARED. THIS IS A PIECE OF HANDCRAFTED ART AND DOESN'T NEED TO BE RUINED BY NONSENSE. This antique Japanese mixed metal buckle showcases a beautiful black and gold damascene design, with intricate single point engravings by renowned maker Komai Otojiro. The primary materials used are silver and gold, and it dates back to the late 19th century (1850-1899). Its provenance lies in Japan, making it a highly sought-after item for collectors of Asian antiques. The buckle is in its original and authentic form and has been signed by the maker.
