We are estimating the era of this fixture at 1930s-40s because of the cloth covered wiring which became mixed with rubber by the early 1960s according to the internet. This is heavy cast iron weighing in at 5.5lbs on the scale. Because this wall sconce is nearly 100 years old, we would recommend that it be rewired with modern wiring prior to use due to safety reasons. The fixture has no breaks or cracks and shows nice patina as is or its ready for restoration depending on your standards. Takes a 3" chimney, globe fitter.
