Description: From the estate of an antique dealer who retired in early 1990's. Small but sturdy little silver purse frame has a lion passant hallmark on top edge so I'd say this is British. Measures 3 3/4" across bottom (flat measurement, not the curve). Meachanism works nicely and there is no warping. Original chain attached. I would guess this is about 1890's-1900's and of course it would be for a very small decorative purse. Thanks for looking.
