Antique Austrian Shield (?) Purple Cherub and Maidens Footed Demitasse Set

Description: For your consideration is an antique (?) demitasse cup and saucer. The white cup is painted in purple and gold floral accents. The well of the cup has a classical scene of maidens and a cherub. It stands about 2 inches tall on a pedestal base with gold floral accents. The saucer measures about 4 1/4 inches in diameter and has a gold stenciled medallion in its center. The cup is marked with a symmetrical blue shield and the saucer is unmarked. We believe this set may be antique as it does not have its country of origin in the marking. The pieces are free of chips, cracks, nicks, or repairs, but the saucer has paint loss especially on the stenciled medallion. The set is priced accordingly. The net weight is 16 ounces.
