Description: I found this clock in my grandfather‘s estate. Please let me describe to what I see. It looks like there was an attempt to refinish the wood and I think they did a pretty bad job. If you look at the bottom of the scroll… Both sides look gouged with some kind of belt sander. I show this in the pictures very clearly. I think it would take a pretty skilled guy to restore those gouges. It’s possible, but it looks like something that would take some serious sanding. Also, the stain looks running. A pretty bad stain job. But it looks like it has a decent movement however it is untested as is as found. The face of the clock looks pretty nice exactly as pictured. The glass is loosely inside of the frame and can be Removed very easily. From a distance, it looks like a nice clock though. It has a good design and it doesn’t look beat up but up close not so good. One last thing that I saw was look at the bottom of the clock… It’s missing some wood towards the bottom and it matters because it holds the Chime part in place so you would definitely have to get that piece of wood to restore the clock so the chime part stays in in place. I think this is a pretty good accurate description. I think I covered everything… It is exactly as pictured as is as found for parts or restoration only. Regarding shipping… I’ll pack this very nicely and accurate with care. I weighed the clock and I know the size of it and I have nice soft bubble wrap and I’ll pack it as if it was a masterpiece so no problem with shipping. It’ll be accurate and packed with care. I have excellent boxes and always the right padding, and Styrofoam ready to go. Take a look at my store… I have other clocks and some of them are extremely nice. Nice German stuff. And I know nothing about clocks so take a look. Funny thing… As I’m telling you to take a look at the clocks… And I’m doing this ad… What sells? One of the cool clocks… And I’m still doing this ad looking at the New Haven clock being sold… That’s cool. So that’s it… That’s all I could think of other than make sure you look at those gouges… That’s important. I’m honest… I’ll tell it like it is. That’s for sure. Like I said accurate shipping… I’ll pack it with care. Thanks, John.
