Description: FABULOUS ANTIQUE GIANT VICTORIAN LOURDES ROSARY FAMILY DEDICATION & PROTECTION MADE OF CARVED WOOD.For wall or statuary display. Giant Dedication Rosary! The loop measures 64” in circumference and the drop is 12” long: see photos with ruler.All parts are made of carved wood. Large Size for wall display: In order to provide a scale of scale, one of the photos shows the rosary hanging on a standard entry door. Its heart-shaped connector bears the following inscriptions (Translated here from the French): “Immaculate Heart of Mary Protect Us" (Obverse) and “Souvenir of Our Lady of Lourdes” (“Déposé” + marking= in this context means“Registered/ Protected Design”). The round “Our Father” carved wood disk bears the following message on the obverse: “ Go have a drink and bathe at the (Lourdes) Fountain.” The other side shows the Virgin Mary surrounded by the “ I am the Immaculate Conception” message in French. The Crucifix is made of carved and stamped wood with a metal corpus. The obverse is inscribed with a short prayer, as follows: “Mother of God / Our Lady of Lourdes/ I dedicate my family to thee.”The reverse shows the instruments of the crucifixion and “Servire Domino Christo.” Made in France c 1900-1920.Weighs 6.4 Oz.
