Description: Vintage Cape Buffalo genuine solid Bronze Sculpture by Professional Hunter Terry O. Mathews Art Signed & Numbered 7/10, dated 1977. Very early, rare piece by Terry Mathews old time professional White Hunter in East Africa who lost his eye in a hunting accident and turned to sculpting wildlife. Terry guided many movie stars back in the 1960's and he was even tossed by a black rhino! Also included is Mr. Mathews signed/inscribed book in fine condition. Great stories and lots of color photos of some of his bronzes. Very good condition with a small ding on the wood base. (see photos). Very heavy, probably weighs around 15 to 20 lbs. (This is from the collection of another East African Professional Hunter). This may also be picked up locally to save shipping.
