Description: Legendary Adcom GFA-555 high current power amplifier, 200 watts per channel. Made in USA, superior quality, extremely rugged construction. I am listing this “for parts or not working,” because it powers on, but I am not getting output. I have not investigated further, so I’m not sure why. Please expect that this will need some degree of service to get back to full working condition. One of the rca jack’s outer metal pieces was loose I still have it and will include it. You can see it in the last listing photo. Cosmetic condition is pretty good. It has a handful of like scratches and marks throughout the case, but no bends or dents. Stereophile magazine says " The GFA-555 does everything well, and most things exceptionally well. It provides superb, well-controlled bass with far better speaker load tolerance than most amps. Its midrange and treble are remarkably low in coloration. There is no hint of hardness, and none of the loss of inner detail common to transistor amplifiers. With the exception of the Krells, I have never heard a more detailed, natural, and extended upper four octaves in a transistor amp."
