Description: A TRICK OF THE TAIL 'Outtakes' - GenesisRecorded Oct 1975 - Trident Studios, London, UK MatrixSide 1) 5020-ASide 2) 5020-B After Peter Gabriel left the band, and before Genesis decided that Phil Collins should be their lead singer, they were auditioning hundreds of people for the job. While doing this, Genesis recorded their album "A Trick Of The Tail" without vocals as they also contemplated continuing on as an instrumental act. These very early demo tracks are low-end audio quality and were recorded at Trident Studios, London, Oct 1975. Most are instrumental, 'a work in progress' versions of tracks which ended up on the album which was released in Feb 1976. The highlights of this piece are the unreleased track 'Beloved Summer' sung by Phil Collins (surprised this tune didn't make the cut), and the early instrumental nuances of 'Dance On A Volcano'. Vinyl Playback: EX-The record plays nearly perfectly with a very occasional light tic. The record has been play-graded from start to finish, on both sides. Cover: VG+Non-GF gloss cover remains in excellent sturdy condition. There is creasing from the vinyl impression, but no actual wear. Vinyl Visual: EX-Some light surface lines on both sides. NOTE: This piece is for Genesis collector completists, not for audiophiles. INV: 440 Additional photos are available upon request.
