Description: A very good copy of "A New American Edition" of A Clockwork Orange complete with the "Missing" last chapter (21) published by W.W. Norton in 1987 with a new explanatory introduction by Anthony Burgess. A first edition and printing with the full number line beginning with "1" and the 4-87 date code on the front jacket flap. 8vo. 192 pages - publishers half-cloth over paper boards with gilt stamped titles to the spine. Light wear to the corners and spine tips. The interior is clean and unmarked. The unclipped dust jacket with the $14.95 price shows wear at the fold and spine tips, a small scrape on the rear cover, a small, closed tear at the lower rear cover and a bit of toning to the inside flaps. Overall, a nice copy of this first printing and somewhat scarce New American Edition.
