These are in good, vintage, used condition with some cutlery marks and wear to the glaze, but no chips, no cracks, and no crazing. These are PINK WILLOW, made expressly by Jackson China for "Cook's Hotel and Restaurant Supply Company in New York, N.Y." with the pattern in a much-lighter shade and more delicate application than the normal "red willow." Hotelware is a type of restaurant ware that was popular in the 20th century, it is made from durable, vitrified ceramic materials designed to be strong and withstand heavy use. Jackson was one of the best known manufacturers of restaurant ware. These bear the earliest Cook's backstamps circa 1920s.
