The Type 2 reverse is very much in the style of the Eisenhower Dollar reverse, an eagle with spread wings that looks like it's landing, holding a branch. It's a more modern and harmonious design, perhaps meant to represent the peaceful times we are now living in. (Okay, maybe that's a reach. But it is beautiful!). This year only, silver eagles were issued with both backs, and this set of two shows both styles with brilliant uncirculated, blast white specimens.
