I use a generous amount of fabric and USA made elastic with my bands which easily allows room for any size pad. I prefer the belly band to be loose so the wetness is absorbed by the pad and not resting up against the dogs skin. No diaper rash with my belly bands! I prefer Poise Brand pads. They seem to work the best for my little guy. My belly bands consist of a fleece lining which helps to wick moisture away and an outer layer of cotton fabric. Elastic on the sides allow the disposable pad to stay in place. Simply toss your belly band in the washer (with the velcro closed) and air dry and they will be as good as new.
