Description: EAST of MALTA WEST of SUEZ & ARK ROYAL These are HMSO (His Majesty’s Stationery Office) WW2 (Word War 2) publication. EAST of MALTA WEST of SUEZ is a 63 page publication described as the account of the naval war in the East Mediterranean between 9-39 & 3-41. The ARK ROYAL is also a 63 page publication & describes the history of the aircraft carrier from its launch in 1937 to its sinking in 1941. Both were issued for the Admiralty by the Ministry of Information. Page sizes are 7”x9” (about 17.5x23cm) & both are illustrated with black & white images. Condition is quite good except for the covers which are separated & torn & in, the case of East Of Malta West Of Suez, the back cover is missing. The booklets were published during the War (in 1942 & 43) when paper was at a premium & not of high quality. These come from a private collection being slimmed down on retirement.
