Description: A lovely mid 19th century English rum barrel painted with floral design. Circa 1860. The barrel has four brass bands that have been painted in addition to the woodwork. The paintwork is a little worn around the centre of the barrel. The total height of the barrel is just under 71 centimeters or 27 inches. The approximate diameter across the middle of the barrel is 12 in of 30 cm. The diameter across the top of the barrel outside is 22 cm or 8 inches and three quarters. A really lovely piece of antique furniture.
