Description: Obviously needs some work! But it's an honest and simple 19th century American birdseye maple (I think) veneered frame. Will fit a 24" x 20" portrait or other painting or a mirror. Or cut it down to fit something else. As you can see in the photos, one of the corners is rather damaged with some of the pieces there. A section of veneer missing but one can tone the area to diminish the appearance of the loss. It's a bit rough here and there so please review photos. Restored, it will look wonderful! (I'm a retired paintings conservator. I've worked on lots of frames. I don't want any more projects!) Overall dimensions 28 1/8" x 24 5/8." Inside dimensions 24 1/2" x 20 1/2." Moulding profile width 2 1/2" and outside depth or thickness 1 5/8." Rabbet width is 3/8" and depth is 7/16." Frame was put together with square rose head nails, most of which are still in place. There is the original hanging hardware. This is being sold AS IS!
