Description: Handsome fold-out 1971 Phillips 66 road map of Tampa and St. Petersburg, printed more than 45 years ago. The map opens to 29" x 18" and has great detail on old street and highway alignments, with cartography by Rand McNally. Tampa is on one side; St. Petersburg is on the other, with an inset plan of Clearwater. The map was distributed in 1971 by the Phillips Petroleum Company to promote its Phillps 66 brand. It is dated in the legend, and the code number in the lower margin is 71584630-13. There's a Phillips 66 service station on the front cover. On the back cover there are illustrations of a Phillips 66 credit card, a can of Trop-Artic motor oil, and a gas pump dispensing the company's Sixty-Six and Flite-Fuel gasoline. Condition: The map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with some ink writing on the cover and no rips or tears. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
