Description: EXTREMELY RARE 1955 TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME PROGRAM for a game between the DUMAS DEMONS and the PHILLIPS BLACKHAWKS. Game was played on November 4, 1955 at Blackhawk Stadium in Phillips, Texas. Phillips was coached by Texas Sports Hall-of-Famer "CHESTY" WALKER. PHILLIPS (NAMED FOR PHILLIPS PETROLEUM COMPANY) WAS A BOOM TOWN IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE IN THE 1950's, BUT IS NOW A GHOST TOWN. Phillips won the Texas State Football Championship in 1954. Very nice 32 page program is in very good condition with a Phillips team photo, individual pictures of the Phillips players and coaches, plus many local ads. Add $5.95 for postage/shipping.
