1940s 1950s Vintage Holiday Christmas Red Flocked Velvet Cream Dress

Description: A gorgeous Shirley Lee Dress. Late 40s or early 50s label. Christmas Holiday perfection in this soft red velvet or velveteen bodice with butter cream satin skirt that has flocked velvet flower details. There is even a matching belt. Zips up the side with metal zipper, should have closures on the back as well (something will need to be added). Best fits size Extra Extra small or Extra Small. Model is modern 4/6 and as you can see it does not zip up all the way on her. Zipper does work!Measurements :Bust: 31/32 inchesWaist: 24 inchesHips: openLength: 41 inchesFair vintage condition - Still presents beautifully but there is some general, all over wear - some marks, discoloration and small wear spots and holes in various places. It looks as though the flocking of the velvet has worn off in many areas of the skirt. Some pulls and loose threads on the back. The closure at the back neck area will need a ribbon or necklace or buttons or something as the original closure in the back is missing. The satin partial lining inside the bodice has wear and discoloration at the underarms (this should not be noticeable when worn). Wear to the belt ribbon. Still likely wearable and I think its beautiful as is but may need some work. At present would be best or costume or study. SOLD AS IS.I have NEVER seen one like it!
