Description: Authored by Robert G. Brehmer, Jr., European History Scholar University of Wisconsin, a Preface by Reverend James M. Gillis, published by G.P. Putnam's in 1936. First Edition, First Printing, NICELY FLAT-SIGNED BY AUTHOR ROBERT G. BREHMER, JR. on first free endpaper. OVERALL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. Dust jacket with a few chips and small tears on edges, price-clipped and now nicely encased in a mylar jacket. Clean blue cloth boards, no edge wear, gilt letters on front cover and spine, lightly rubbed on spine. No interior marks except signature in 141 clean and solidly bound pages, seemingly unread. I can't find much about this book or the author online. The front flap begins with this paragraph: "This work is an attempt by a non-Catholic to set in correct, concise, integrated and easily accessible form the teachings of the Catholic Church in matters, social, economic and political." Sounds like a good pre-WW II treatise on the topic. B99
