1930 Bb American Standard Trumpet 🎺 Model 200 SILVER w/ CONN MP & Case SN 11160

Description: Vintage American Standard Model 200 Satin Silver Bb trumpet. The horn is about 19.5 inches in length and the bell diameter is about 4.25 inches. The gold washed silver bell is engraved American Standard Cleveland Mus Inst Co. The serial number 11160 indicates it was made in late 1930. The horn is in remarkable condition for its age. The satin silver finish is in good condition, the gold wash inside the bell is worn a bit on the rim area. All slides move freely. Valves quick-recover nicely. Easy player, has nice tone. Some scratches, finish wear and dings consistent with handling, extended storage, and age. Sanitized CONN 4 mouthpiece in good condition. Deluxe case is good-includes marching lyre & new microfiber polishing cloth. From the Trumpet History website: American Standard Model 200 Trumpet American Standard was a subsidiary line of the Cleveland Musical Instrument Co., which was bought by H. N. White in 1925. It remained a separate entity until the Great Depression forced closure of the shop and the assignment of the Cleveland and American Standard names to stencil product from the same supplier as built the 'Student Prince'. By the late 1930's, production was brought in house to utilize spare capacity resulting from the reduction in King sales. At that time, both names became student lines, building on the market tapped when they were moved to low-cost stencils. American Standard was rebranded as Tempo in 1963. Al Cass Fast used on ALL valves. Play tested and checked for valve action, slide fit, leaks, and slotting (after regular use, valves should fit to the lapped chamber and get faster) Original mouthpieces are usually included, checked for receiver fit, cleaned and polished (most vintage mouthpieces have blemishes) Horn is then wiped clean and or hand polished Cases opened, aired out, disinfected, vacuumed, sometimes minor repairs are completed (Note, some old cases will have residual smell) Horns are photographed, disassembled and checked for proper fit again Horns then stored until sold.
