To make sure which grip size is right for YOUR gun check the distance between screws: All full size including Commander are 3-1/16" or 3.0625" All compact including Defender are 2-11/16" or 2.6875" Will NOT fit "bobtail" (round butt) models. If you have Taurus 1911 or other model with ambi safety please let me know at the time of purchase, I will make an extra cutout for ambi safety at no charge. How the grips are made: Machined from hard walnut; Stained; Applied gun stock filler; 2 coats of polyurethane; Graphics is cut from thin (0.001") metallized polyester film and applied to grips; Several coats of polyurethane on top.
