Description: Original 1883 copy of King's Dictionary of Boston. The book is generally in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The tipped in folding map is present but is in only fair condition with some repairs and a narrow section missing along one of the fold lines. The covers have some mild wear with some wear to the extremities of the spine. There is some cracking to the interior hinges, but the binding is still good and sound. the front pastedown has an old historical society bookplate. The interior is toned from age with some minor marginal staining. There is a period name inscription to the title page. A couple of pages have a minor marginal tear which does not affect the text. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection, such as a tiny chip, creased page corner, light bit of soiling, etc. The book measures approximately 6 3/4 inches by 5 inches and is 518 pages long with.
