Most of the textblocks are detached from the covers and/or spines. External wear varies from average to heavy with much loss to leather and cloth. Pages yellowed with foxing, smudges, creases. A few leaves in a couple of volumes (generally prelims) are detached from rest of textblocks and badly edge-torn and creased; there are more detached leaves with lesser edge-nicks. There are a couple of short sections with wormholes. There are a few brief patches of minor marginal dampstain. There are some ink-stains to textblock edges. There are a few markings.
