Description: Offered for your consideration is an Original 155 Year Old - 1865 Antique Atlas Map. This map was removed form an 1865 Augustus Mitchell Atlas and is in excellent condition. This map was harvested from an antique atlas book that was in poor and unusable condition. This fine map of South America is in excellent condition with very minimal wear(just some minor wear along the margins) you would typically see on a map of this age. Great color, the map itself has but one small stain in the body of the map! Oh and there is an interesting inset, bottom right, titled "Map showing the proprosed Atrato-Inter-Oceanic Canal Routes for connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans". Would look tremendous framed, this map also has decent margins that have not been trimmed, which helps with framing. The page is approx 15.4" x 12.6". Willing to combine shipping cost for multiple lots.
