I have wonderful vintage black matte glass buttons old salesman sample card from Max Stumpe These are lovely two hole buttons 3 sizes 18mm, 13.50mm and 11.30mm They are mostly matte glass and some are matte glass and Polished and one set is polished. They are from an original Max Stumpe Salesman sample card, so they are in great unused condition, but they may be dusty from storage. Originated in Germany in 1940's. I have found these wonderful old buttons from Old salesman sample cards. The are most likely 1930's and 1940's. Many of the buttons are from Max Stumpe. I found an interesting bit from Wikpedia: After 1945 about 18,000 displaced persons from the region around Gablonz (now Jablonec and Nisou in the Czech Republic) settled on the site of the former explosives factory and rebuilt the jewelry and glass industry (Gablonzer Bijouterie), which was left behind in their home country.
