This is a standard copy of the work and is out of series. Though published anonymously, the work have been attributed to Captain Bland, a writer known for his parodies and imitations. A scarce work of of local interest which discussing the city of York and its notable landmarks including the Minster and Round table. Interspersed throughout at text are numerous poetical works. A unusual and scarce work. CONDITION In a quarter vellum binding with paper covered boards and rough cut pages. Externally, sound. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and also the extremities. Rubbing to the spine, with a small amount of loss to the spine label. Small crack to the head of the front joint. Handling marks and spotting to the spine and also to the front and rear boards. Cockling to the front pastedown, and heavy offsetting to the front and rear endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Page are clean with light age toning.
