Description: 1599 Geneva Bible superbly rebound in leather and dated 1890 with name of owner, red leather embossed in gold with gold leaf edges. Nice solid example, with both general title pages most of the time one of these is missing often the second one with small cut crossing the red sea.. Apocrypha is mentioned in list of books but not present which is quite normal. Herbert states in the historical catalogue of Bibles to be the case. It does lack the NT title page and no metrical Psalms which is often found at end. Both tables present. Some staining throughout but does not detract from the Bible, decent margins too, some minor repair on a few pages at edges. A good solid copy with a wonderful binding sure to please.
