Adults measure slightly larger than 1/4″. These average in size from 3mm to 8mm. They are fun to watch because they are very active and often you’ll see them attached to each other while swimming about. I culture with freshwater shrimp. They are a great live food and that's what I originally raise them for. My Bettas love these. Easy to keep and maintain. Scuds are omnivores and eat just about any organic material they come upon. These are freshwater but I have them also thriving in my brackish water tanks.
